Story

My sister Helen passed away in June 2010. Helen lived in Gloucester and was instrumental in setting up Gloucestershire Young Carers some 18 years ago and led it from strength to strength, today helping over 600 young carers and their families in the county.
GYC have set up a trust fund in Helen's name which will support young carers with a grant of up to £500 aimed at reducing the financial obstacles to going on to further education. I am really very pleased to be able to take on this challenge to help raise money for this fund.
I love cycling, but even so this ride will still be a real challenge for me. To be doing it for GYC in this way will be great motivation for me and I do hope will raise awareness and get people sponsoring!

Follow my pain/joy during the ride on my blog...
