We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

2019 wasn't the best year. In July I heard the words no one wants to hear. I was diagnosed with bowel cancer.  With an early diagnosis and a fantastic surgeon the tumor was removed and so was all signs of cancer.

I was lucky it was caught so early. My intention is to raise as much awareness as possible so people know the signs. This along with raising funds for research will help more people to be as lucky as me.

I am supporting Bowel Cancer UK so they can continue with their research and their campaign to improve early diagnosis.

With my the support of my friends, I will complete a couple of challenges that I have always wanted to do but never got round too...

The first challenge, assisted by Emma Lewis of Hip2trek and sponsored by Mandy Miller Broadcast Services on the 19th September 2020 'The Peaky Climbers' will be taking on the the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. The route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent in 12 hours.

The second challenge assisted by Velo Coaching and again sponsored by Mandy Miller Broadcast Services will see a group of riders take on the Coast to Coast cycle ride, starting on Morecambe, following the Way of the Roses cycle route to finish in Scarborough  over 3 days in September 2021

I will keep you updated with the plans and progress and if you have a pound or two to spare to sponsor me, it will go the the great work of Bowel Cancer UK to help more people be as lucky as me.
