Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit John's page.
After a short illness dad sadly passed away on Tuesday 10th March.
He leaves a large void in all our lives, but we still have all those wonderful and funny memories and stories to share. We will remember with love and fondness; a loving Husband, an influential Dad, a caring Grandpa, a supportive companion, a humorous story teller, a skilful engineer, a dedicated farmer and a courageous entrepreneur.
Despite his illness, Dads sudden decline took us all by surprise. We will be eternally grateful to St Barnabas for their immediate care and compassion when we needed it most. If you are able to offer a little support these amazing people, in Johns memory, we would be most grateful.
John was a life long resident of Uffington, and a man of faith. He worshiped at St Michael and All Angels Church, Uffington, and spent much of his time supporting its role as a hub of the community, whether cutting the grass and clipping the hedges, fundraising at village events, or helping to plan in committee meetings. We would have loved to have held an open thanksgiving service at Uffington, led by the wonderful Father Aran Beesley, to give the many family and friends of John an opportunity to say their goodbyes and celebrate his life. That opportunity may happen at a date in the future, but for now we would also like to include donations to St Michael and All Angels Church in his memory. Donations will be most gratefully received, and can be given directly online. Please contact nick.teesdale@copthill.com for details.
