Story
Thanks for visiting my page!
I'm taking part in a unique tower run next month to raise money for a new charity initiative. The Mayfair Tower Race is a 5k run around Hyde Park's Serpentine lake followed by a sprint up the 56 flights of the London Hilton on Park Lane. The run finishes in the restaurant at the top of the hotel - where there are excellent London views if I'm still alive to see them.
I will be competing against former sportsmen like Graeme le Saux and Roger Black, chefs (the thin, running kind) such as Michel Roux Junior and the Mosimann brothers and a selection of Sky's new gladiators (pictured with me leaving them in my wake.) Oh and Lee from Steps..
Every penny raised from the race will go towards setting up Galvin’s Chance. This is a Hilton in the Community Foundation initiative which will provide an opportunity to disadvantaged and at risk young people to gain experience and jobs in London hotels and to escape gang culture in the process.
I know times are hard so any small support you can afford would be greatly appreciated. I promise I won't let you down on those stairs!
Thank you very, very much!
John
