Story
Thursday 1st December 6.30pm - 8.30pm Clapham Library, Clapham High Street, SW4 7DB
Lambeth Autism Group proudly presents ;
John Williams reading from his new book "My Son's Not Rainman"
Suggested donation : £10
John is an author, comedian and Dad to "the Boy", his autistic son. His reflections on their experiences together will make you laugh and cry whether you are a fellow-traveller parent or not! If you want to sample John's writing his blog is at http://www.mysonsnotrainman.com/
John is doing this fund-raiser for us for free because he is a very lovely man and he loves our branch. Lambeth Libraries are kindly providing the venue. Proceeds from the event will fund art workshops for autistic teenagers in Lambeth. As a branch, we are contacted by lots of parents looking for groups and activities for their autistic teenagers. There is very little on offer out there locally. To run 4 workshop sessions over the Easter 2017 school holidays we need £735 to pay for workshop leaders, room hire, materials and refreshments.
So please support us by making a donation and coming along - we promise you a great evening. Suggested minimum donation £10. Please can you give your name with your donation so we can put you on the guest list. If you prefer to remain anonymous on justgiving.com then send us an email with your name to lambeth@nas.org.uk
