BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

You've probably only just recovered from the shock of me running the London Marathon back in April.  We'll you're never going to believe this -  I've managed to persuade Mikle to join me at the Great North Run in September!  It took a very boozy lunch and a lot of persuasion to get Mike to sign-up.

Very sadly Mike's father Trevor died at new year following a massive Stroke and we decided that we would like to do something to raise money for the Stroke Association so that they can continue to help those affected by stroke as well as work to create a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke get the help they need.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
