Children's Air Ambulance Channel Swim Relay · 23 August 2023 to 28 August 2023 ·

The Children’s Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. With our ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise travel times and the risk for patients.

Story

Driven by a desire to help save young lives, this August we will be swimming the English Channel from Dover to Calais with a team to raise money for the Children's Air Ambulance.

Our little team will be swimming 22.5 miles in the cold, dark currents amongst jellyfish and oil tankers making our way from England to France in 14-28 hours depending on how kind the sea is.

The Children's Air Ambulance is a national service, changing the face of pediatric and neonatal care through the high-speed transfer of critically ill babies and children - flying them from one hospital to another for specialist care.

This is going to be the biggest challenge we've ever taken on and we need to get super swim fit ASAP. We currently have (beneath!) average skill but phenomenal will. And with your support we know we can do this.

Any donations are appreciated whatever you can spare to this cause.
