Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Bally and I have been inspired by Rob's story, I personally will be running my first and Bally running his 3rd, never before have I felt the need to run 26 miles, but Rob’s drive and determination in light of adversity will carry us and everyone else taking part round the challenging and hilly (c.600m) course.
Following two Manchester Marathons over the past 18 months Bally was looking for his next challenge. He didn’t have to wait long as I messaged him to say my one and only marathon would be this one in honour of Rob Burrow. As a Rhino’s and Rob Burrow fan Bally knew this one was for him as well.
To watch one of your rugby hero’s tackle MND with as much courageousness and determination as Rob and his family has been inspiring.
We are also going to run sub 4 hours........
Also here from Rob giving the runners his best wishes for the training - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPozx62iZ6w
'Sir' Kev Sinfield continues to go above and beyond in his fundraising and drive to raise the awareness of MND and his latest challenge saw him go way beyond normal running 7 Ultra Marathons in 7 Days... He smashed that which only motivates us more for that sub 4 hour mark. We will see 'Sir' Kev on the roads of Leeds in May 2023.
Like Kev running for his best mate Rob, Bally & I run as mates supporting each other through this tough challenge and life’s journey.
Thanks for reading and we appreciate your donation no matter how small, every penny helps. Cheers Bally & JB
