The Rowan's Hospice gave amazing care to Shirley (Jon's mum) as she neared her end of life.  She died peacefully, with dignity and with all those who loved her around her.  They supported the family as well as Shirley and the support still continues.  This hospice offers so much to the community and without these fund raising events the wonderful care given would not be able to continue.  Please help us to ensure it does and sponsor us as we walk the 12 miles to give back to the Hospice a little of what we received. This is the second year of walking this and last year Carol thoroughly enjoyed it albeit by the time it got to 3.45 am it was rather tiring.  But knowing that she was just tired and that would pass is something those who have critical and life limiting illnesses will not recover from so it makes you more determined to complete it and do something amazing!
