Story

In 2024 i will be taking on the iconic London marathon. This is a dream come true to be able to run side by side alongside 50000 other runners whilst raising money for such a worthy cause. Loros have been there for my family in the past and this is a great opportunity for us to show our gratitude and give something back. Please help me to hit my target and together we can smash this 😍

In a brief this page was originally set up for Damo & Jon as they was running the marathon together. Unfortunately covid hit which then put a stop to the London Marathon going ahead. Jon finally was able to get his running shoes on in 2023 and competed the marathon without his running and fundraising buddy, Damo.

Damo had to refer his place for another year to an injury which is still ongoing but despite that he is taking his place next year (2024) in April. He is determined to finish  it whether he runs, jogs, walks or even crawls to get himself over the finish line. Determination at its best right there!!

Even though Jon & Damo will have ran this on separate occasions, they still are a team and would love more than anything to hit the 4k they set themselves up to achieve. So please help in anyway possible.

A massive thank you to those who have already donated, yet to donate and most importantly being their supporters.

Jon’s main supporter was his beloved mum Sharon. Since competing the marathon, Jon sadly lost his mum in August 2023 who was cared for by the amazing team at Loros after battling a short illness.

We honestly can’t thank Loros enough for the care they give to patients and their families.

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
