When I tuck my kids into bed at night I am hugely grateful that they are healthy. Some people we all know are not so lucky and that is unimaginable. I feel helpless in the face of things as big as Cancer so when this challenge came to my attention I thought it was something I could do to help in my small way. I know that we are all hit up for donations regularly these days and that is why I believe that running a marathon is the easy bit and fundraising is the tricky part so I appreciate if you can spare the price of a chocolate bar, a magazine, a teddy or a meal that a child with cancer would love to have the chance to enjoy.

As part of a team of 40 I hope to complete a marathon dressed as vikings carrying a 21 meter long viking long boat quicker than any other 40 person team costume has ever done before.

If you are inspired to donate based on the the amount of suffering I am willing to put myself through as well as the charity I'll throw in a second marathon, this one off road with an attempt to run 50 miles the following day. If I can keep moving one foot in front of the other that will be more than 76 miles in 36 hours.
