Story
As some of you will know I first ran this event in March 2019 and then again in March 2022 (post pandemic) and with your help and generosity raised over a £1000 towards men's health services at Bournemouth Hospital.
My first reaction to receiving this years invitation was not positive, not because of the running - its (only!) 10km/6.2miles along the prom from Bournemouth Pier and back on a Saturday morning - but because I know there are so many good causes out there and so many demands on everyone's money.
But then it didn't take me long to think how much our local hospitals and the NHS does for us all and our families. Thousands of men from every part of our community face men's health concerns such as prostate or testicular cancers.
All donations, however small (or large!) are very welcome and will directly help to contribute significant funds to men's health projects across Dorset at the Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch hospitals.
