Story

Hello! If you are reading this and thinking that I am being
crazy – you are right! Yes, I am taking part in the London Marathon in April
2023 and raising money (must raise £2,500!!!) for this amazing charity Brain
Research UK.

Have I done any marathons before? – absolutely not!

Was running my passion? Nope – only started last year!

So why am I doing this? Because IT MEANS A LOT TO ME AND
MY FAMILY…

But why Brain Research UK? Let me explain …

Did you know that 12,100 people are diagnosed with a primary
brain tumor every year in UK?!

More people under 40 die from brain tumours than from any
other cancer…

My personal reasons..

My partner’s dad died at the age of 50 from the deadliest
brain tumour called glioblastoma multiforme.

But not many of you that know me, are aware that I suffer
from a condition called Cluster Headaches, for past 20 years.

What is the CH then?

It is a very rare headache disorder characterised by
recurring bouts of excruciating headaches on one side of the head. It is listed
by NHS as one of the most intensely painful human conditions. Often called a
Suicidal Headache because of the intensity of the pain that the sufferers
experience.

Unfortunately, there is no cure because the causes of the CH
are unknown. That is why Brain Research made this condition as one their
projects in their studies.

I am also running for Brain research UK for My friend Baylee
and his mum, His mum suffered from a Brain haemorrhage which completely changed
her life, she was in a coma for over a month and had to go through speech
therapy, One of their main priorities is brain injuries and how to help the
brain repair, Baylee’s Mum had to go to Nottingham  hospital as it’s a specialist in the field. Without
the research of this charity, they wouldn't have been able to pull his mum out
of it. The brain is still largely unknown and without the research from
companies like this we'll never know how to help our brains repair.

I have to raise £2,500 to be able to take part in London
marathon, all before 23rd April this year! Could you please help me
and share this link with all your friends, family, work colleagues. All money
goes directly to the Brain Research and it is not connected in any shape or
form with my personal account and it is monitored by the charity too.
