I am raising money for Cancer Research UK, the world's largest independent cancer research charity. It conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. It's a cause that's close to my heart having had family and friends that have suffered from this condition I'd like to raise money to help people with this condition in the future.

On 19 June I'm taking on a challenging route that will take me through the hills of Shropshire, Powys and Herefordshire.  I'll be doing over 100 miles with over 6000 feet of climbing, more climbing than the famous Tour de France climb of Alpe d'Huez ! This is going to be a big challenge for me, however knowing that I'm helping to fight cancer will help to spur me on when things get tough.
