London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·

Team RSBC are taking on the London Marathon on 23rd April 2023 to ensure blind children and young people can live their lives without limits.

Story

On Sunday 23rd of April 2023 I'm running/crawling the London Marathon for the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC). I hope you will consider sponsoring me in taking on 42.2 km (26.1 miles) for this worthy cause!Today there are an estimated 44,000 blind and partially sighted children in England and Wales. Each day, four more children will be diagnosed with sight loss.- Blind children are twice as likely to be bullied- One in three will suffer from depression and other mental health issues- 90% will never have a long-term job- Two thirds of blind people are living on or below the poverty line- Most will never have a meaningful relationshipRSBC help blind children to realise their potential. They run a family support service, working with families to help provide the best possible environment for their child to grow and thrive. They also help blind children to develop confidence and independence through a range of programmes and activities, building amazing friendships.

This will be my first and last Marathon for sure so want to try and raise as much money for this worthwhile cause. I realise that many individuals are struggling in this  current climate but anything you can give will make a significant impact to RSBC.

Lots of Love Mo Joggy
