Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 21st April 2013 I will be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon with the aim of raising money for the British Heart Foundation.

The BHF was founded in 1961 by a group of medical professionals wanting to fund extra research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart and circulatory disease.

Their mission is to play a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation, so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death.

Within a decade the BHF aim to:

1. Reduce cardiovascular disease in the UK to one of the lowest levels in Europe
2. Halve the number of people under 75 who die from cardiovascular disease
3. Make sure at least two thirds of people under 75 survive a heart attack
4. Reduce heart-related deaths in all UK local authority areas to the current level in South East England or below
5. Reverse the increase in childhood obesity.

However, to make all this work possible, they rely on your generous donation of time and money.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
