Update:

Thank you everyone who supported me in this challenge even though most of you are my parents' and siblings' friends, I am humbled and inspired by the overwhelming support and generosity you have displayed. You have made the pain I endured all the more meaningful and thinking that I would never reach my donation target, you have made the impossible, possible. Most importantly you have made education possible for the many needy children in the most formative years of their lives and I am sure they will be eternally grateful.

Helping the needy does not stop at one, so I will continue my efforts in doing what's right. I will be taking part in this event again next year and hope that you can extend your generosity, once more.

I'm taking part in a 55-mile walk around Manchester as part of a Raise and Give (RAG) event. All funds I raise will be donated to Read International.

Read International is a fantastic charity in that they collect unwanted and used textbooks that would otherwise be thrown away and put them to better use by shipping them over to schools in Tanzania. If you would like to make a difference in a child's future, 60p is all you need (to ship one book over) but of course more is better as we have got tens of thousands of books to ship over this summer.
