They say cancer will impact us all at some point in our life, I am determined that when it does we can beat it. Unfortunately Cancer has impacted me rather a lot lately...

On the 2nd June 2019 we lost a great friend Brook to cancer, we lost him the wrong side of 40. His incredible bravery and positivity throughout his fight was something I will never forget. Brook changed my life whilst we worked and lived together and I will be forever in his debt. We want to keep his memory alive by raising money for a cause that will benefit us all. 

And then just a few weeks ago my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is currently fighting it with incredible spirit and determination. I want to show him that I am prepared to fight and give him that every bit of strength. Together we can beat this Dad. 

So to honor the memory of Brook, and to show my Dad that I am with him on his fight I have signed up for my first full Tough Mudder in September. Tough Mudder is a 10-mile challenge of mud-soaked mayhem. Loaded with 25 insane obstacles - this is going to be far the biggest physical challenge I have ever done. 

Those who have ever played football or rugby with me know that I generally can cover 10 miles, but thats over the course of a season, so doing it one sitting will be a challenge to say the least. The electric shock obstacle is surely worth a donation in itself. 

I will be joined by another one of Brook's great friends Ash Clarke who worked at Puma together with Brook and I. We have also enlisted the support of some other recruits to team Brookstrong.
