Story
A couple of years ago my Nan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease; naturally a shock and meant a lot of uncertainty going forward, not knowing what to expect or how she would be affected. My Nan was always someone who looked after everyone, including myself when I was younger, but in a short space of time I have seen this change: the Alzheimer's has started making life more difficult and my Nan now needs help, care and support from those around her.
I have decided to compete in the London Triathlon (1.5km swim, 80km bike and 10km run) in support of Alzheimer's society, a worthy charity which supports those affected by any kind of dementia and undertakes research which hopefully one day will find a successful treatment for such a complex and life changing condition. I would really appreciate if you could donate as much or as little as you feel possible, for a cause which is very important to me.
