A-hoy-hoy!
As we are all well aware, cancer is shit, really shit. Macmillan, however, are a shining light amongst the dark and have helped numerous family members and friends through their cancer struggles.
Hence why, again, I’m begging for your spare change, to raise as much as I possibly can, for such a wonderful charity. My target is rather lofty this time around, to match the scale of the challenge ahead of me. Unlike a few guys I know who have done this, it’s not something that comes easily, and fitting the training in around work and home life with a toddler is going to be an uphill battle, but one I’m willing to take on.
I still can’t quite understand how I will swim 2.4 miles, ride 112 miles then run a marathon, but it’s what I’ve stupidly agreed to do!
I also have no idea how I got here...I distinctly remember saying, after I completed my first Sprint Triathlon, that ‘I cannot compute how people even do an Ironman’. I also said that ‘I’d never want to go further than an Olympic Distance Tri’....yet somehow decided to do a middle distance/half Ironman last year.
So, here we are. Officially signed up, with my friends Tom and Julian, to Ironman in Copenhagen. I don’t think I’ve still fully processed how hard this is going to be, but I’m balls deep now, and there’s no going back.
If you’re here, you’ve at least thought about donating, which I really, really appreciate, because you’re probably sick of me mentioning the fact I’m doing an Ironman already.
If you are able to spare a pound or two, it would be gratefully received and you’ll be donating to a worthy cause.
Thank you in advance
Love and hugs

Thank you for choosing to support me and Macmillan Cancer Support. Just so you know, 30% of the sponsorship that I collect (up to the cost of my entry fee) will be reimbursed. This means that Macmillan receives 70% or more of my sponsorship.
Reimbursing 30% of my sponsorship (up to the cost of my entry fee) is a safe way of fundraising for the charity as it can be cheaper than the cost of a charity package! If you have any questions about my fundraising or why your donations may be used in this way, please don't hesitate to contact Macmillan directly at triathlon@macmillan.org.uk.
Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right right there with you.
