Story
I have set this page up in memory of my uncle and godfather Jonathan Fyson, who was greatly loved by all who knew him. Jonathan died on 14th June 2014, a few short weeks after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. He died peacefully at his beloved home of Manor Farm in Kencot, Oxfordshire. He was surrounded by his family and received wonderful care from his carers Richard, Prescious and Ray who helped look after him over the last few weeks of his life. I would also like to acknowledge the work of the nurses from Kate's Home Nursing who cared for him during the nights.
Jonathan was a church warden at Kencot for many years following in the footsteps of his father Richard. He and his wife Jane opened the beautiful garden at Manor Farm every Easter Monday as part of the National Garden Scheme. People come from far and wide every year to see the fritillaries in particular. Jonathan was also very well known in the wider community through his antiques shop which traded for over 40 years on Burford High Street.
