Update...

I am delighted to report that I successfully completed the Paris Marathon on Sunday 11 April in a time of 3hr 50.  Thank you to all who have sponsored me.  Being the glutton for punishment that I am, I have now entered the Alpes-Maritimes Marathon (Nice-Cannes) on 14 November.

After months of training, I will be hitting the streets of Paris on 11th April to complete my first marathon.   I've lost nearly two stones, even more hair and no doubt some knee cartilage over the past few months but am now looking forward to the big day. 

My chosen charity, Bliss, works extensively with families that experience the challenge of premature babies, providing them with the support and guidance that they need to help them get through difficult times.  As some of you will know, my first child, Alex, was born 14 weeks prematurely but is now approaching his seventh birthday as a fit and healthy boy.  Your contribution will help Bliss to support families who are not as fortunate as we were.
