Story

Thank you so much for visiting this page.

I've chosen to run the London Marathon this year both as a personal challenge and, more importantly, to help raise awareness for a cause that has had a huge impact on my family.

My older brother contracted Meningitis whilst in Taranaki Base Hospital in my hometown. He was one of two infants who suffered due to a duty nurse not washing her hands. The nurse was unaware that she was a carrier of Meningitis and both children died subsequent to their contact with her. Obviously this preventable accident caused no end of hurt for my parents and close relatives and still continues to do so.

If for a miniscule amount of time, pain and money I can help others to avoid this kind of terrible incident then it will all be well worth it.

I hope you can dig deep and help out a fantastic cause.

Many, many thanks,

Jonathon
