Following the horrific murder of Sophie Lancaster, her family wanted to ensure a lasting legacy to their beautiful, bright creative daughter and so The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was established and it became a registered charity in 2009. We do this through various means including education.

In mid February I'll be shaving my head to raise money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. The charity campaigns strongly against hate crimes committed towards other subcultures. These subcultures can often be defined simply by the way someone looks, but the way you look doesn't change the fact that we are all essentially the same deep down. So as a gesture of this, I'll be removing my hair which has been a strong part of my identity for over 10 years now, to the point where there are very few people I know now that have seen me any differently. Yet I'll still be the same person...
