School of Hard Knocks runs courses that use sport to tackle issues surrounding unemployment, antisocial behaviour, crime and health. We teach responsibility, motivation, teamwork, respect and discipline - all of which allow individuals to take responsibility for their actions and context.

Story

Hi friends, family and foes.
Thank you for taking a look at my JustGiving page. As you'll be aware by now I am making an attempt to participate in and, with a bit of luck, complete the London Marathon this year.

Besides the irreplaceable morale support and guidance from you all, support in the form of donations for the School of Hard Knocks is what I’m looking for and is the real you’ve landed on this page!

School of Hard Knocks “SOHK” is a ground-breaking social inclusion programme. The charity use the proven benefits of sport to tackle the issues surrounding unemployment, crime and Health in London and across the UK. They work with individuals to help them take responsibility and take positive steps forward in their lives. They offer a number of different programmes, each tailored to its audience and principal aims. The constant factor is their methodology – controlled confrontation, challenging activities and a constant affirmation of self-worth and motivation.

The guys at SOHK have a vision that every member of any society should have an equal chance to succeed. I don’t think anybody can disagree with this sentiment, London would be a safer, brighter and more prosperous place if everyone had a chance to participate in our society.
