Back in April this year, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. A month later I underwent a successful prostatectomy and I have been recovering since then. I decided that I wanted to do something positive to support others who face the same issues I have.

My fundraising event involves the recording and release of a charity single 'One Step at a Time', which I have written and recorded myself as Jonny Melodic. The song describes how I felt in my prostate cancer journey, trying to take things a day at a time, dealing with diagnosis, treatment and recovery. 

There is also a B-side I have recorded, called 'Check it Out', which urges people to get checked and tested early if they have any health concerns, before it's too late.

Both of these songs will be available on Bandcamp (official release date 14th August), and 'One Step at a Time' will also be available on other streaming and download services such as Spotify. All proceeds from the charity single will go towards Prostate Cancer UK.
