Rock 'n' Roll Liverpool Marathon 2018 · 20 May 2018 ·

The Be More Bailey Charitable Foundation was established to provide the opportunity for children and young people with disabilities to benefit from taking part in triathlon (or its individual disciplines of swimming, cycling and running).

Story

On 20th May I am running the Liverpool Rock’n’Roll Marathon. This will be a massive challenge for me as I have never ran this distance before in one go.

I have set this up because I feel strongly about the cause I would like to raise money for. The Be More Bailey Charitable Foundation was set up after my son a 8 year old little boy called Bailey Matthews with Cerebral Palsy completed his first triathlon. Fighting to cross finish line unaided he took the world by storm with his guts and determination to not let his disability get in his way of completing his dream to compete with able bodied children in a sport dominated by the able bodied.

Bailey then wanted to help other disabled children achieve and experience the same thing.  The charity has been set up to help fund other disabled children access the sports of swimming, cycling and running with equipment to help aid them on their way, like specialty bikes or walking frames etc. The charity is also working with event organisers to make their events accessible for the disabled by adding extra staff, volunteers and marshals where needed & changing course routes .

If you would like to know more about the charity before you kindly support me please go to www.bmbfoundation.co.uk.

Please donate and help other children like Bailey access the things most of us take for granted or contact the charity if you know someone who could benefit from their help. Every penny counts and you could be helping somebody you know.

Thank you for your time. & please share this page.
