As coronavirus grips the UK, help to stop disabled young people and their families from slipping into isolation and crisis.

Story

I’ve been working at Rose Road for 5 years now and in my
current role for 2. Rose Road has always been a part of my life though as my brother used to stay for Respite when Rose Road was actually still on Rose Road. Then last year I did the Great South Run to raise money for the Association and I raised over £900.

This year I wanted to do something again, but I wanted to
raise more awareness of just how far Rose Road goes to provide services: So I decided to run 250 miles instead, because that was the distance covered by all  Rose Road Services across the South of England. I’m not doing it all at once, but starting in April with Southampton Half Marathon and finishing with the New
Forest Marathon September (so hopefully I’ll be running when the Weather is good!).

Ideally I’d like to raise more money than I did last year
and beat my half Marathon time of 1 hour 57 minutes, but at the moment I’ll settle for just being able to finish the challenge without injuring myself in some ludicrous way!
