The Rege Foundation- Firewalk · 22 November 2008 ·

The Rege Foundation works with partner agencies in North India to improve the quality of life for disabled people in rural communities. Projects include enabling disabled children to go to mainstream schools; providing disability and rehabilitation training to village based staff; and developing employment opportunities with disabled adults.

Story

The Rege Foundation and the Raphael Centre have been working together for 20 years, improving education for disabled children in villages in North India. The funds from this event will support train staff in local schools, deliver assessments for under 5s and promote employment opportunities for young disabled adults.

Alastair was a volunteer at Raphael back in 1995 and is running a 100 ultramarathon to raise funds for the Rege-Raphael partnership. Talk about going the extra mile!
