Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It is apparent to us all how much mental health has/or is effecting thousands of people across the UK and world. Awareness raised in recent times has created a response to where more and more people are speaking out and seeking help thanks to charities such as SANE and many many more.
On a personal level its something i have not found easy to talk about and that many people don't know. I suffer with anxiety to a point at times it drove me into depression, not wanting to even get out of bed some days and face anyone. I get over powering panic attacks and its something i've suffered with in silence for a number of years. The reason for silence i presume like many people, especially men is judgement. I didn't want to be classed as odd, or strange or maybe delusional. The more i have learnt is the real medication needed is talking and self helping yourself. Remember there’s a story behind everyone’s smile.
There are over 6,000 suicides a year in the UK and around 140,000 attempted. With the help of charities such as SANE this number can be dramatically reduced and awareness of mental health illness massively increased.
For a subject and matter very close to me i wanted to do something to help and have taken on the idea to do a sky dive with my fellow brothers Jack and Adam early September who have been there to listen and help me. Can not thank these boys enough for doing this with me. Heights aren't really ideal with any of us so doing this a big challenge but with your help raising money for such a fantastic cause it will be more than worth it.
Any donations would be welcome and greatly appreciated, however little, just time this illness gets the help it really needs.
