We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Emily Rose was born in Peterborough City Hospital on 11th May 2011 with a very rare, severe heart condition called HLHS.
Immediately after being born Emily Rose was taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital where she was to undergo a series of life saving operations to rebuild her heart, as untreated there is a 95% mortality rate. After 3 weeks of treatment Emily Rose was deemed strong enough to go home for the first time on 6th Ju...ne 2011, before unfortunately passing away on 15th June 2011.

During her short life Emily Rose and her parents were given fantastic care and support by the people and staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital and because of this they would like to give something back and potentially help other parents who find themselves in a similar situation.

Therefore, we have arranged a once in a lifetime opportunity for posh fans to play against some of their heroes. This is your chance to play a 7-A-Side game against: Ken Charlery, David Farrell, Marcus Ebdon, Darren Clarke, Kevin Shoemake, Chris Plummer, Simon Ray and Richard Scott. The Game will be 7-A-Side to be played at The Powerleague in Stanground , Peterborough between 7pm and 8pm on Wednesday 6th July 2011.

We are looking for individuals, teams or businesses who would like to bid for the chance to play in this game to e-mail their bids to: poshlegendscharitymatch@hotmail.com
before 5pm on Monday 4th July 2011. Please include your name, whether it is an individual bid or a team bid, the amount of the bid and a contact telephone number in the e-mail, we will then contact the successful bidders by 8pm on the 4th July to discuss payment.

This is a one off opportunity to test your skills against some of Peterborough United's past Legends and is in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital so please make your bids as generous as possible. Only successful bids will be collected.

More Details will appear on the Peterborough United Website and in the Evening Telegraph on Saturday.
