Numerous member of my families lives have been affected by having a stroke. Two of my uncles and my brother have been left with life changing irreparable damage.Most recently my mum has suffered from a stroke in August and I want to raise money and awareness for this charity. The early rehabilitation team have been invaluable in helping my mum regain her mobility, speech and confidence which we are forever grateful for. Her recovery is still ongoing and I know the stroke association will be pivotal to continue the good work the rehab team have started. I have never ran a half marathon but I am determined to raise as much money as I can to help this charity which has recently become very close to my heart.
