Story
I was 12 years old when my mum was diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis. Over the next few years she slowly found mobility hard, struggling to walk our much loved golden retriever Jade as her body began to let her down.
My mum sadly passed away on 23rd December 2014 just weeks before my daughter was born.
She was a strong women and endured so much, she was driven by the love she had for her children, myself and my two sisters. One who now cruelly has been diagnosed with MS herself.
It is that love and determination my mum managed to show through her consistent pain that will drive me to succeed in my training and to complete the marathon in what I hope is a decent time .
I would really appreciate anything you can give towards sponsoring me, MS doesn’t often have the limelight shined in it. My mum didn’t get to try many of the emerging treatments but I hope my sister can and any money that goes towards that research for her and the millions of other suffering would mean the world to me.
Thank you!
