On July 8th I will take on the Race to the Stones; a 100km ultramarathon across the ancient Ridgeway and Oxfordshire countryside. 

The idea of actually running 100km is still somewhat mystifying and I’m eagerly awaiting the training run in which I’ll finally start to believe I can actually complete it. But that’s what lead me to first sign-up; I craved a challenge that wasn’t based around an arbitrary criteria of success such as a time… I wanted something that challenged the most fundamental notion; completion!

You’re probably thinking “Jordan loves running, he’ll be fine!” However, in reality I’m a bit shit-scared and quite honestly, kind of hate running. So I really am lapping up as much external support as I can get (please give me kudos).

I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
