Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have watched Ironman UK for the past few years in Bolton and have always said I would like to take part.

Well Ironman UK happens to land on my 18th birthday - making me old enough to compete.

How better would I like to spend my 18th birthday but start with a beautiful swim at Pennington Flash, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, followed by a marathon run!!   (at least my mum is not organising a party with dodgy photo's and cake!)

I decided to raise (hopefully raise) money for a local charity BYPHS - Bolton young Persons Housing Scheme.  A small charity looking to help 16-25 year olds who find themselves homeless - they provide support and accommodation, with emotional and practical help to those who need it.

I will be 18 on the day of the race and was going to aim to raise £180 - but my mum say's go BIG and aim for £1,800  - she say's I will only be 18 once!

if you can donate £1.80 or £18.00 or £180.00 - every bit will count
