Story
As some of you may already know, my cousin Connor passed away recently due to mental health issues. Mental health is an issue that affects us, our families and our friends in one way or another every day and more needs to be done to support those who are suffering and to highlight the help that's currently available for those in need.
Louis & myself are going to run our first ever marathon on the 31st of January 2021 in memory of Connor and for the mental health Charity PAPYRUS (details below)
Our marathon route will finish at Celtic Park and those who knew my cousin and attended the funeral will understand how poignant this is.
Although this is a sad subject, and we are all going through hard times at the moment, we would like to help everyone have a bit of a laugh while we raise some money for a good cause. Set out below are some fun forfeits for if/when we reach some donation milestones to be recorded:
£500 - Training run in a dress/Wig 💃
£600 - 10,000 calories in a day eating challenge 😷
£700 - Body Waxing 😬
£800 - Hot chilli/Wing/pepper challenge 🌶️🔥
£900 - Hair/Beard dye (colour decided by poll) 💇♂️
£1500 - Run marathon in Rangers top (Jordan) & Ayr top (Louis) 😬😷🚫✖️❌
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide and believes that many young suicides are preventable. They operate HOPELINEUK, a confidential call, text, and email helpline for young people with thoughts of suicide or those concerned about a young person who may have thoughts of suicide. Every £5 raised can help pay for a potentially life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK from a young person wanting to stay safe from their thoughts of suicide. Thank you.
