10 years ago Tim, Carolin-Marie and Jorg got together to use filmmaking, story telling and music to help people living with dementia. The idea was to record the life story of a person living with dementia by digitising their photo albums, picking their favourite music tracks,  interviewing them and by editing a beautiful documentary for them to be able to remember their own lives for longer. 

In March 2013 we filmed our first pilot with the late Paddy Keogh in Woolwhich, South East London. Until today we cannot forget the love, pride and happiness in the room when Paddy and his family watched their film for the first time. We were blown away by the impact the film had and soon after set up the charity My Life Films. 

10 years on and the charity has won plenty of awards and progressed into My Life TV, the world's first streaming platform with content specifically curated for people living with dementia. Think of 'Netflix for dementia'. The legacy of Paddy Keogh's film back in 2013 lives on, we are still using filmmaking, story telling and music to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia. But with My Life TV we can now reach thousands of people across the UK at the same time. 

To celebrate this 10 year milestone and to raise more funds for My Life Films Tim and Jorg are running one of England's toughest races, the Exe to Axe, along the coastal path in Devon. A distance of 36 kilometres and with almost 1,200 meters ascents and descents. The race course description is simple: Keep the sea to your right.
