LauraLynn Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice, provides palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. We provide support from diagnosis, to end of life, and throughout bereavement with a range of practical, emotional and medical care for the whole family.

Story

Lauralynn is Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice. Based in Dublin, we provide palliative care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. With a focus on enhancing quality of life, LauraLynn provides support from diagnosis, to end of life, and throughout bereavement with a range of practical, emotional and medical care for the whole family. In 2020, LauraLynn requires €4.68M to deliver our hospice care and develop our LauraLynn@HOME programme bringing palliative care into the comfort of children’s own homes. www.lauralynn.ie

For the past 6 years I've committed to let my hair grow really long (and I mean really long 62 cm / 24" and growing!!) but I have decided it is a perfect time to donate it all to those who need it most.

Therefore, I decided to donate my hair the next 30th March to Little Princess Trust which is a children charity organisation based in UK that provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

Each wig has a cost of £550 to supply and fit so I'm running a fundraiser until the day of the hair cut hoping to reach €1000 to donate to LauraLynn which is a Salesforce approved organisation in collaboration with Little Princess Trust in order to cover cost for the wig and donate additional money for the care of the children.

By contributing you won't just cover the cost of the wig but you will allow them to provide Direct Care, Family Support, Symptom Management, End-of-Life Care, and Bereavement Support

A fiver, a tener or 20 quid if you are loaded! Any small, medium or big contribution is greatly appreciate it! I can sure you, it feels good! and they will feel even better!

If you have long hair, I would encourage you to donate it as well and publish it here the result of the hair cut! I will publish mine once it is done!

You can send it either to Rapunzel (Ireland) or Little Princess Trust (UK)
