Hi Guys and Girls,

 

Thank you for taking the time out to read this and hopefully donating a little (or big) something. :-) 

Today, in a remote village called Tikeet in West Pokot, Kenya, there are children who do not have access to any form of health facility.Their parents have to carry them on their backs for up to ten hours in the blazing sun in order to see a doctor.Unfortunately, with illnesses such as malaria, typhoid and diarrhea, children do not live to see the next day; a medical facility will change all this.


This is where we come in. As a community, we can make a difference for the people in Tikeet. If we all pull together, we can make it possible for other children and families to get the medical care and attention that, for most, is a basic human right.

The local people of Tikeet have erected the walls of this hospital using bricks and cement blocks that they made by hand. However, they need our help to complete the project.

This is where we come in. :-)  I promise to train hard for the next three months and to complete this marathon. All you need to do is to donate and tell all your friends about this too. 

These small gestures will make a huge difference to people's lives.

The main person to start this off was my future father-in-law. He passed away three years ago as a result of  a car accident. His family would love to complete what he started. Lets dig deep!!
