Story
Thanks for supporting my fundraising.
I doubt there is anyone alive who hasn't had someone in their life affected by cancer. From mentors, to family members and close friends I have seen many people effected by this illness.
My friend, colleague and mentor Brian Greensill passed away from cancer several years ago. Without him I would not be singing today, his constant support and advice kept me going at a time when I didn't know what to do with myself.
My uncle Chris, was the loveliest man you could ever hope to meet. His kindness, endless sense of humour, passion for the stars and love of technology will inspire me forever.
My wifes aunt Rebecca started running when she became ill. She felt running helped her a lot and It feels fitting that we are running to raise money for Macmillan, in memory of such an intelligent and amazing woman.
To those friends who are living with this right now, no matter how long it has been since we have spoken or seen each other, know that I love you and am hear for you and your family and always will be.
The work that Macmillan does really does help and I want to raise as much money as I can beyond the minimum goal of £150. In memory of my uncle Chris, my old colleague Brian and my wife's aunt Rebecca and my friends living with the every day trials of having cancer.
Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they can. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
