Stirling Scottish Marathon 2017 · 21 May 2017 ·

Scotland's leading asbestos charity, providing a voice and vital support to those living with and affected by mesothelioma, lung cancer and all other asbestos & work-related disease and injury.

Story

Hello!

I'm running the Stirling Marathon this May to raise funds for Clydeside Action on Asbestos (CAA). The charity has recently had its funding reduced and is in need of greater support from fundraisers.

It has now been three years since I lost my Dad to Mesothelioma and the injustice of asbestos related diseases has continued to grow. CAA is a charity that does exceptional work, with the Scottish Parliament as well as individuals and families, to fight such an injustice.

You can support their latest campaign, for the removal of asbestos from schools, here (https://www.change.org/p/protect-our-children-from-asbestos-in-scottish-schools).

The lack of awareness of these diseases poses great challenges for the charity. The problem is growing and supporting a small and dedicated charity is the best way forward.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Remember Gift Aid significantly increases your donation. Thank you for your kind support!
