Sheffield Half Marathon 2023 · 26 March 2023 ·

Research at the University of Sheffield will change the lives of families who are desperately seeking a treatment for their loved-one. By fundraising you will give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. This year I will be taking on the Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday 26th March to support Genetic Disease Research at the University of Sheffield.

This will be my first time running in a half marathon, or any long-distance race for that matter! I have been training for a couple of months now, which has been both rewarding and challenging (the hills of Sheffield and freezing temperatures have proven the greatest obstacles so far). Recently, I cracked my first ever 15km run, so I am well on my way to being ready for race day!

Any donations (no matter how small) are appreciated to help reach my fundraising goal! In the UK alone, 1 in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder. Sheffield's research will change the lives of families desperately seeking treatment for their loved ones. By making a donation you will give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.
