Hi my name is Joseph, I moved from Syria to the UK in 2013 as a young refugee. At first I was scared after fleeing war, losing my job and being far away from my family and friends. But I moved to Manchester who welcomed me with open arms. The people here are so friendly and they became my new family and friends. I’m so grateful and proud to call Manchester home that now I want to give something back to those that helped me. So I’m running for Forever Manchester in the Great Manchester Run 22 May 2022 and would love it if you could spare some money to help support the amazing local community activities they run in Manchester.


Forever Manchester is the only charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. We believe that connected communities make stronger, happier communities, so we love any activity that brings people together.In every neighbourhood across Greater Manchester there are thousands of people involved in community activity. In fact, at any given time there are an unbelievable 20,000 local grassroots projects of varying sizes and interests taking place. These activities are the lifeblood of our neighbourhoods, they are happening right now on our doorsteps and they are being run by people who give up their precious time to make our communities happier and safer places to be.Forever Manchester cares about those people who care enough to act.
