This June, I'll be cycling from London to Paris to fundraise for a charity called Astriid. I'll be doing the 196 mile trip over three days (London to Newhaven, Dieppe to Beauvais, Beauvais to Paris) with a group of fellow fundraisers/cycling enthusiasts.

Astriid works to help people with disabilities and long-term chronic illnesses find a path back to work. They do this by rebuilding confidence, re-skilling, and opening up channels into employers who are willing to extend the flexibility needed for their brilliant candidates. Many of their candidates have amazing skills sets, but where illness has struck - have found the ability to work and engage with work colleagues removed from them. This can lead to financial strain as well as the mental challenges from something so important to their lives and sense of purpose being suddenly removed.
