Story

Hey everyone,

I'm participating in a 25km charity fundraising hike on Saturday 29th September this year, with my friend Zoe!

I'm doing this charity hike for three main reasons:

1 - In memory of my Dad who passed away earlier this year and also in memory of the time we hiked up Mt Fuji in Japan completely unprepared and Dad he busted his knee the night before playing with fireworks (let me know if you want to hear the rest of this story!)

2 - To prove to myself that I can do something like this. I've never participated in a group charity event before, and I'm also not the most fit person either, so I'm challenging myself with this hike.

3 - To raise money for Centrepoint. Centrepoint are a charity who help young homeless people get off the street and turn their lives around. Along with being my workplace's Charity partner, I feel quite strongly about the work that Centrepoint do. When I first arrived in London, I didn't realise how expensive it would be and I made some pretty bad decisions with my (limited) savings I brought over with me from Australia. If I didn't have the amazing support of my family and friends, I feel like I could have easily ended up on the streets myself and it I'm proud to support a charity that helps people who find themselves in difficult situations without a support group.

Zoe and I are aiming to raise £350 ($615 AUD), so if you are able, we would love your help in supporting this great cause.
