Story
Hi Everyone,
Josh and Zak here, and on the 23rd April, we will be running the London marathon to raise awareness and fundraise for a children's mental health charity Beyond.
Throughout both of our lives, we have experienced and witnessed both close friends and family members seriously struggle with their mental health. To the extent that we have lost extremely close loved ones due to this issue, we want to make a difference.
Beyond is a charity focused on improving the mental health of children and young people by funding support in schools. Shockingly, suicide is the most common cause of death of young people between the ages of 5 and 19. As the charity continues to grow in presence, we are extremely fond of the work they do in ensuring that young individuals are equipped with the tools to support their own mental health as they enter adulthood, whilst improving awareness and understanding.
We believe that, if people are more educated about the presence of mental health alongside the methods of dealing with it from an early age, then more people will feel okay in speaking out and we will be able to slowly suppress this awful stigma.
Any contribution (both large and small) will be able to make such a withstanding difference, something which we'd be eternally grateful for with this charity being so close to our hearts. We hope to see as many of you as possible on the day to support, and we look forwards to a quick beer (or two) on the finish line.
