Great North Run 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·

Welcome to our #TeamDementiaUK campaign for the Great North Run 2021! We have a huge team of amazing supporters who will be stepping over the start line in September all to support Dementia UK and our wonderful Admiral Nurses.

Story

I'm taking on the Great North Run 2021 to support families facing dementia across the UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving them compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions that can be difficult to find elsewhere.

I chose to join #TeamDementiaUK to help raise vital funds needed in helping families dealing with Dementia. Inspired by my grandmother and her battle against dementia I decided it was time to get off my arse and see if I could get myself round the best half marathon in the world.

I'll be keeping everyone updated with my progress towards the fundraising target, and also any fundraising activities I'll be running.

Lets smash the £350 target and I'll try to beat the 02:00:00 mark on race day

Thank you everyone for your support
