Story

Me and my dad will be taking part in the Brighton Marathon on September 12th 2021, in order to raise funds for Isabel Hospice. An amazing charity who provide amazing care, hospitality and a relaxed environment for people with terminal illnesses to ensure they can have  comfortable final moments.

My granddad (Lee’s stepdad), Peter Standing spent some time at the hospice before passing away in 2013 and the care they provide is second to none, nurses are on hand 24/7 to provide assistance and are always there putting on a smile for friends and family who come to visit.

Charities like Isabel Hospice will always have a special place in our heart, which is why we are running the Brighton marathon, in memory of my Granddad, an amazingly strong, determined an loving man. And also to ensure that Isabel Hospice can keep operating at the amazing level they do providing care for those in need.

At the time of writing this my dad is up to 23 (official) marathons so I thought it was about time I joined him for one.

Dad is also attempting to complete 50 marathons in a year in an attempt to raise money for action on addiction, link can be found below
