Story
Many of my friends and family have suffered, or still are suffering from mental health problems. Mental health is not treated in the same way as physical health - from top-level government funding, down to our own personal reactions when we hear someone's story.
I think we all need to talk about our own mental health more freely, so it doesn't get brushed under the carpet through fear of judgement from our friends/families. Hopefully then more people will seek help instead of suffering alone, and the Government will feel more pressure to provide funding for an adequate Mental Health Service.

Every single day, around 16 people decide to end their own life across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Every six seconds, somebody contacts the Samaritans. Ten times a minute, they help someone turn their life around. That’s a privilege, and a huge responsibility.
Their service can help people before it's too late.
They offer a safe place to talk any time people like, in their own way – about whatever’s getting to them.
