#TeamSCT Skydive Weekend 2023 · 3 June 2023

#TeamSCT are taking on the thrill-seeking challenge of a skydive and will be soaring 10,000 feet above the ground at speeds of up to 120mph!

Story

In dedication to one of my favourite films (Point Break!- Classic Swayze & Keanu Reeves) and because I have always wanted to do a Skydive, I have signed up to chuck myself out of a plane on the 3rd June for the Waterman Aspen 2023 Charity of the year, “The Sick Children’s Trust”.

The Sick Children’s Trust is a charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of their “Homes from Home” so they can always be close to their child and the hospital whilst they receive the treatment they need. Having experienced my eldest son being in  Intensive Care at just 6 weeks old, I can only understand some of the worry that families have to face on a daily basis and being able to take just a little part of that away, to me, is a great cause.

I would really appreciate your support, it will make that point of sitting at the door of the plane at 10,000ft a lot easier!

About the Sick Children's Trust

When a child suddenly becomes ill, there's no time to plan. The Sick Children's Trust is the charity that gives families one less thing to worry about by giving them a place to stay, and someone to talk to, free of charge just minutes from their child's bedside. This year The Sick Children's Trust is celebrating 40 years of keeping families together. With the help of so many generous supporters, like our daredevil skydivers, we have helped over 73,000 families since 1982, with a welcoming place to stay when they have really needed it.
